American Idiot soundtrack

The soundtrack of American Idiot consists of Green Day and Green Day only, and what a treat that is! As one of history’s greatest punk rock bands, the music of Green Day really makes this musical stand out amongst other Broadways. Green Day songs combined with that Broadway-style makes one magnificent, blood-pumping sound that audiences can’t get enough of! Have you ever listened to a song that instantly changes your mood from good to wonderful? Well the American Idiot soundtrack is full of feel-good numbers that you’ll find yourself humming for the rest of the day. The majority of the American Idiot soundtrack comes from Green Day’s 7th released album American Idiot, including songs such as American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and Wake Me Up When September Ends. Quite a few soundtrack pieces come from Green Day’s latest album, 21st Century Breakdown, as well. In particular, 21st Century Breakdown’s “21 Guns”, the song that Green Day and the cast of American Idiot performed live at the 2010 Grammy’s, is one of the main catches behind the musical.
